Productivity management cycle

The most important goal of any organization is to achieve the highest possible productivity or optimal productivity. What creates a competitive advantage in organizations is productivity, which means the effective use and combination of available resources in the organization. Effective improvement of productivity, like other organizational software components and processes, is one of the requirements of organizational work, which lies in the essence and leaven of productivity improvement, and the legitimacy of productivity is in its improvement and modification. The establishment of the productivity improvement management cycle makes productivity to be improved as a permanent process and the productivity path is determined and the necessary foundations are made. The movement of productivity is necessary for the growth and progress of the organization and will lead to the institutionalization of improvement in various organizational systems.

The design and formulation of the foundations and model of the productivity management cycle based on Article (5) of the Law of the Sixth National Development Plan (10 operational steps for the establishment of the productivity management cycle) is as follows:

  1. Studying and understanding the current situation and designing the company’s own productivity model
  2. Training and organization of project implementation
  3. Measurement and analysis of productivity indicators
  4. Planning to improve company productivity

In the establishment of the productivity improvement management cycle, there are various solutions, some of which have been experienced in practice are mentioned below:

  • Institutionalizing productivity in thought
  • Institutionalizing savings throughout the organization
  • Establishment of productivity research system
  • Human resource development
